As little children....

Super Sweets and Super Kid asked me Sunday if Santa's Reindeer could really fly or if magic wasn't real. Super Kid stated that magic was just a trick and not real. A bit of me saddened at the fact that he was thinking this way. I want them to hold on to the belief in "magic", in things that can happen against the odds. So Super Sweets decided to go to the Authority, she said "let me ask God." Here is the dialogue:

Super Sweets: 'God, is magic real?'
God: 'Yes!'
Super Sweets: 'OK, God! Thanks!' He said "Yes'!"

:)

So sweet. I pray they believe in "magic" all their lives.

Soccer Fall '09

Super Kid enjoys playing soccer. He hated playing goalie b/c his team needed him "up front". He got mad at having to sit out for a few minutes (you have to play everyone). He protested with the quote of the century : 'I don't want to sit out, Dad! The team is gonna suck without me!!" LOL!

He was PO'd. He also takes losing pretty rough. He pouts and mopes for about 15 min before composing himself. Not a bad thing. Losing hurts, you shouldn't get used to it. I think it fires him up to GO, FIGHT, WIN!

Playing through adversity

Superkid had his last tball game of the season this past Saturday. Best hitting I think I've ever seen him do. 2 run scoring doubles. Both went to the outfield. Solid hits. His marked improvement (not that they were bad to begin with) in stance and swing made the difference.

He did this while sick. You see he had a stomach bug and didn't let on how bad he felt until he just about puked on 1st base. He came out in the last inning. About an hour later he couldn't hold it down anymore.

He played even though he felt like crap. Mark of a champion. You heard it hear first.
Thank you, Lord for this little warrior.

Rain

We had a great day at the Aquarium with Nanan and our cousins.
It was stormy weather...
Super sweet baby girl is looking out the car window, thinking, and tells tells me, "I love the rain, Daddy, because it makes the baby flowers grow." So sweet. I love her positive attitude.
Scripture comes to mind...(Matt 18:4 "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
She is my heart and I pray that I can be the daddy she deserves.... :)
